Day Without Childcare

In 2024, childcare centers on the Iron Range closed for the day and caregivers marched to the Capitol to meet with Governor Walz and legislators to highlight how essential child care is to our communities. It made a HUGE impact. This year, Kids Count On Us is going even bigger - they have a goal to shut down more than 100 childcare centers across the state to remind lawmakers how necessary it is to support child care with public funding!

Event organized by Kids Count on Us.

March for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Relatives

Join as we march to remember and honor the Indigenous relatives that have gone missing or were murdered. All too often, the Native community loses its members to violence without sufficient attention from the media or police investigations. We cannot stand for this any longer.

Please wear red in honor. All are welcome.

2025 MMIWR March is organized by Native Lives Matter Coalition and No More MMIWR Great Lakes. YWCA Duluth is a proud co-host.
